To prevent tire bullseye due to landing friction against the tarmac, experts suggest spinning the tires prior to landing. However, they argue that since achieving the correct rotational speed is challenging, this method might be ineffective.
In my view, it’s not necessary to spin the tires at high speeds. Instead, a low-speed spin can do the job by distributing the friction spot over a larger area and therefore avoiding the bullseye.
Increasing the tire's life does not mean decreasing tire production from an economic perspective but upgrading the standard of tire usage, meaning the tires must be changed before it's grooves become flat.
I created a pneumatic system that blows a jet of air onto the top side of the tire while still inside the landing gear making it spin to 100mph.
